Welcome to Tredagh Trekkers

Drogheda’s Hiking, Hill-Walking, Trekking and Mountaineering Club

Information about joining the club has been moved down the page in order to bring you news of a very successful club fundraising event.

Following the club’s recent, very successful, fundraising evening Tredagh Trekkers presented cheques for €1,500 each to Mourne Mountain Rescue Service and Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Service. Club member, Paul Maguire, gave an illustrated talk about his experience completing the Appalachian Trail in the United States. The well attended talk, held in McHugh’s Pub on the Chord Road in Drogheda, together with a donation from the club, raised a total of €3,000.

Some photos (click on a photo to get a bigger version) from the cheques presentation.

Sadly no one from Dublin Wicklow Mountain Rescue Service could make it to the cheques presentation. Paul, Oisín and Donagh will make sure that the cheque is delivered.
